Welcome to the
WOMEN'S PAGE for SCOTTISH MASTERS
Karyn brought the kilt back to Inverness
for the 2009
MWC. Here she shows it to a reporter from the
local
radio station.
Karyn Dallimore of New Westminster, British Columbia, Canada, together with the "Sisterhood of the Traveling Kilt" (see picture below) has started a kilt traveling far and wide "around" the Scottish world. Everywhere it stops it picks up a memento pin. I saw the kilt when it was in Sacramento, California, this past April. Most recently it was at the Inverness Highland Games in Scotland where games director Gerry Reynolds displayed it to Prince Charles and other dignitaries. Gerry also sheperded it around northern Scotland to many games. Here's some pictures (click on a picture to enlarge then use the "back" function on your web browser to return to this page):

Organized by Cherie Childs (Tulsa, OK) and others and aided by Terri and
Larry Ventress and
several other volunteer coaches, the Women's Clinic brought together many
Scottish women athletes of
various ages from around the country.
